Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health

This course is an Ofqual accredited Qualification in Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health (RQF).

This one day qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. Learners will know how to recognise and manage stress and understand the impact of substance abuse. They will learn about the first aid action plan for mental health, be able to put it in place and know how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace. 

Learners will not diagnose or treat mental health conditions as this can only be carried out by healthcare professionals but will gain the knowledge to identify when a person may have a condition and know where they can go to get help.

Our First Aid for Mental Health programme has been developed using the latest research and information from some of the world’s largest medical institutions and we ensure all knowledge that is achieved through attendance is up to date. We provide learners with the appropriate tools and information to support a person with a suspected mental health condition.

We deliver in person group courses at our training facility near Arnold, Nottinghamshire.

Our training facility offers the perfect setting for our wellbeing courses.  Bringing the old with the new, the beautifully converted barn has been exquisitely restored, offering luxurious modern facilities.

This is a one day course.

The learner will achieve an Ofqual accredited Qualification - Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health, subject to successful assessment . A range of methods are used, including practical and questioning (open and multiple-choice).

The qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement.    The learner will need to complete the full course again to re-qualify for a further three years. 

Annual 1/2 day refresher training is recommended. 

£95.00 per delegate for the one day training course onsite in Arnold, Nottinghamshire. 

The cost is fully inclusive of all course materials and a printable electronic certificate.   A hard copy of the certificate can be provided for a small additional fee.
