Pilates Principles - Joseph Pilates
Pilates promotes improved joint stability, flexibility, and balance. With regular practice, Pilates will develop all over body strength and mobility, improving posture and common injuries, such as back pain.
Pilates will benefit everyone; from beginners looking to improve strength and body movement, to complementing a training programme of a sporting individual that has a specific performance goals.
My mat based Pilates group classes and one to one appointments are held in my beautiful studio, creating the perfect environment to fully immerse yourself in the principles of Pilates.
With a maximum of 8 participants, class sizes are small and focus on completing a full body workout, encompassing all elements of mat Pilates. Class duration vary from a 50 minute express sessions to longer 60 minute sessions that allow additional time to enjoy relaxation.
Once the class concludes, you will be feeling revitalised, relaxed, and ready to face the rest of your day.
Whether you are a beginner or a regular to Pilates, the session is designed with all bodies in mind, catering for all ages and abilities.
Mixed Ability and Beginners Classes
You will be guided through a sequence of controlled exercises, adapted and modified appropriately to ensure you get a workout that is suitable and tailored for you.
Those with general lower back pain, injury related pain or age related joint pain will generally be able to take part. If you are unsure of the class suitability for you, please get in touch with Charlotte for a chat prior to booking.
Pre Natal, Post Natal or Complex Bone Health Conditions
The Mixed ability and Beginners class would not be suitable for pre natal participants or those with complex bone health conditions. Please contact Charlotte for a chat about specialist classes suitable for you.
If you are post natal and have completed your six week GP check and had an uncomplicated birth, then you are welcome to join the beginners or mixed ability class. If you had a caesarean birth then you are recommended to wait until you are twelve weeks post natal.

One to one Pilates appointments offer clients the luxury of individualised tailored sessions.
