Get Active at your Workstation

Sitting at a desk for long periods of time can take its toll on your posture, causing weakness and tightness, which can then lead to stiffness, causing back, neck and joint pain.


This 30 minute live online course will guide participants through a toolkit of ideas to keep them active throughout the day.  They will receive tips to keep active at the workstation, reducing sedentary patterns, helping to prevent and reduce back and neck pain, and reduce joint stiffness.  The session begins with mobility exercises that help to prevent shoulder, neck and back tightness, and then we explore exercises and release stretches that  can be incorporated whilst you are working, and then when you are taking a break.  


By following these simple exercises at regular intervals each day will not only help physically, but they will also help promote mental alertness, leave you feeling more energised!


After the course participants will receive a detailed handout which provides guidance and photographs on all the exercises covered during the session.  Participants will also receive a handy daily tracker, which they can print off and track their progress each day!

How much is the course and how is it delivered?

The 30 minute online course held via Zoom is £65.00.   

This cost is inclusive of handouts to support the session content. 

Course Tutor

The course is delivered by Charlotte Hashim, expert Fitness and Wellbeing Practitioner and Pilates Instructor with over 16 years experience working in various roles, most recently for five years as the Occupational Health Fitness Advisor in the Fire Service, and previously as the Lead Physical Activity Specialist on a weight management service.

Participants will receive a detailed handout, which demonstrates all of the exercises covered in the online session, so they can be reminded on how to  perform the exercises correctly.

Participants will receive a daily tracker so they can keep a record of their activities each day, including regular breaks of sedentary periods and their water intake.

Having suffered with back and neck pain,  I can see how my posture and working practices are probably aggravating the problem and the course made me more aware of the simple changes I can make.
