Bring along your baby to a relaxed and friendly environment, focusing on you and your post natal care in sessions designed to support your recovery following pregnancy.
Each week we begin with a functional circuit based exercise session, designed to help develop aerobic fitness, and whole body muscular strength and toning. Each exercise has different levels , so you can choose what is suitable for you, and gradually progress.
Babies are in the studio with us, and are safely in a designated space to keep everyone safe. If you need to tend to your baby at anytime then that is absolutely fine. You can step away, keep your feet moving, and join back in once you are ready.
After the circuit session, we come onto the mats and work through various exercises to strengthen and stabilise the core muscles, reduce back pain, and promote good pelvic floor health. This will include corrective exercise for improving posture following the changes that happen during pregnancy, and exercises to strengthen your back and address tightness and weakness. This will help to manage and improve any current discomfort, or reduce you risk of developing back pain.
After the mat based exercise, we have time for a drink, a chill out, and a natter!
The sessions are perfect for you to join once you have completed your post natal check, which usually takes place around week six, and whilst your baby is in the pre crawl stage.
The sessions take place on a Wednesday morning from 10:30 - 11:45.
The first 55 minutes of the session will focus on the exercise element. The following 20 minutes is an opportunity for the group to chat and relax, giving you time to have a refreshment, and meet other new mums.
